Sunday School
Grace offers a Sunday School program for all 3 year-olds through 12th graders from 10:30 - 11:30 am. The curriculum this year is Spark! from Augsburg Fortress. Students will open their Bibles and engage God's word each week! They will also learn hymns and music of the faith during music time, and occasionally help to lead worship through song. Our middle and high school students are using the Re:form workbooks in their classes, and also have time for fellowship and service projects during class. The students are dedicating their offering this year to God's Global Barnyard.
God's Global Barnyard Update
So far this year, our Sunday School students and congregation have raised enough money to purchase 2 sheep, 2 goats, 2 pigs, a duck and a set of 10 chicks! Our offerings for spring semester and special events will be for this same project; we have our sights set on purchasing a cow next!
Men's Bible Study
Men of the congregation are invited to Bible Study on Thursday mornings at 6:30 a.m., at Big Apple Bagels, 6105 O St. Bring your Bible, all men are welcome!
Tuesday Night Bible Study
The Divine Drama, 7:30 p.m.: This 30-session course has 16 units on the complete Biblical storyline, and 14 units on the themes arising from scripture. This is another course developed by Harry Wendt, and taught by Dan Warren.
Sunday Morning Adult Forum
Grab a cup of coffee and meet in Lesher Lounge for a variety of topics throughout the year. Classes range from the study of specific books of the Bible, to contemporary issues, to music and worship, and are led by a variety of leaders. See the latest newsletter for the schedule!
Grace Lutheran Book Club!
Our book club meets occasionally throughout the year to enjoy food and conversation about books! Recent selections have included non-fiction, such as Christianity for the Rest of Us by Diana Butler Bass, and Advent Conspiracy by Rick McKinley, Chris Seay and Greg Holder. We are currently reading a novel: Magi by Brian Gilbert. We always welcome new book club members; contact the church office for more information!
